Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Harvest Fresh Markets at (714) 539-9999; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, harvestfreshmarkets.com.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 1,268 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

I just made my first trip to this market, and seriously, I'm already hooked and can't wait to go back! Their bakery section is incredible – the bread was so fresh, and honestly, the prices on everything were super fair. But the best part was definitely the amazing cashier, Negina. She helped me out with all my groceries and was just the sweetest, most beautiful girl. What a great experience!

Harvest Fresh Market, located at 9922 Katella Avenue in Garden Grove, is an Middle Eastern supermarket that stands out for its comprehensive selection and immersive cultural experience. We purchased some lamb shank and marinated beef meat along with other groceries and dry fruits. Upon arriving home when we opened the meat package, it was rotten and smelled real bad. We live more than 90 miles from the store towards Santa Barbara and visited them since we don't have any Halal meat near us, so we decided to talk about this with the store manager upon our next visit. After two months we visited the store again and after getting our needs we came to the customer service and explained this to the manager ( had to wait 20 mins for the manager to appear!) The manager said " well, we can't do much about it, sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience last time, if it happens again please call me directly and I will replace it upon your next visit". Why would it happen again? Unless it happens frequently at this store. Beware!! First, we won't be visiting this Harvest Market again. Their name says Harvest Fresh Market but that's not true bec they sell rotten meat. Secondly they don't have any customer oriented managers who could listen to their customers concerns and help them. Can't Recommend them! If you do visit them make sure you check your ordered meat

Stopped by Harvest Fresh Market after running errands because a friend recommended it. Technically it’s in Garden Grove, but it’s basically Anaheim already — only 11 minutes from Disneyland. The store isn’t huge, and the layout is a bit tight, but the selection is surprisingly broad with tons of Middle Eastern staples. As a Halal market, there’s no pork at all, but what did surprise me was seeing camel ground meat, plus things like tripe that’s definitely not your everyday grocery finds. There’s a giant section of nuts and dried fruit (almonds, pistachios, cashews, pumpkin seeds, all the goodies). Keep walking and you’ll hit a full wall of colorful spices from all over the world, enough variety to make me stare for a while. They also have an entire aisle dedicated to tomato pastes and sauces, both imported and local, which is oddly satisfying to compare. Their fresh flatbread is supposed to be popular, but I went in the evening and it was already sold out. They also carry a tiny Asian section with Korean ramen and a few Japanese/Korean sauces and rice. Fun discovery: the drink section has Egyptian Coca-Cola in glass bottles, made with real cane sugar similar to the Mexican versi
